As some of you already know, over the past couple of weeks we've been busy with one of the biggest feature request threads we've ever seen for vBShop v3.0.0 Beta 1 which is now available to our Pro customers with up-to-date licences still eligible for updates.
The first major feature is the addition of two new item types; Sticky Thread and Profile Music. You are now able to create items where users can sticky threads, or purchase the ability to attach an MP3 file to their profile.
The Sticky Thread item also features an optional forum exclusion feature, where you can select one or more features where threads cannot be stickied. It's also not possible to buy sticky for existing sticky threads, since deactivating an item will un-sticky a thread. We don't need members un-sticking forum rules or anything of the sort
When an item expires, the sticky status is removed.
Profile Music can be configured by the user with a direct HTTP link to an MP3 file, which will be played in a block on a person's profile by the excellent Dewplayer.
Secondly, Shops has been given an important new addition: You are now able to designate a beneficiary separate from the Shop Owner. This works both on shops owned by the system, or User Shops. User Shop creators will be able to customise this in their front-end management interface.
What this means is you can split the profits from sales between, say, the system and yourself. Want to only receive 10% of the sales value of items? Set the system as a beneficiary for 90% of the sales value. Want to only use sold item profits as prize money for your lotteries? Set a "Bank" account as a beneficiary for 100% of the sale amount. The possibilities are endless!
Thirdly we've vastly simplified the process of adding new items to a shop in the AdminCP. Instead of managing item -> shop integration from the Shop management page, all shops are listed in the Item management page automatically, even when you're creating a new item. You can then activate/disable integration with that shop and configure price etc for each shop straight away.
In addition, we've implemented many smaller improvements as suggested by you since vBShop v2.0.0 and beyond, so keep reading for the complete feature list!

New Item Type: Sticky Thread
- Allows users to sticky a thread of their choice
- Configuration takes a thread ID that will be stickied
- Users cannot sticky already stickied threads
- Sticky status gets deactivated when the item expires, is deactivated or discarded
- (Pro) Forums can be excluded from having their threads sticky-able
(Pro) New Item Type: Profile Music
- Allows users to add a music player to their profile with an MP3 track of their choice
- Configuration takes a URL to an MP3 file
- Profile sideblock plays the MP3 with the Dewplayer flash player
- Music does not auto-play, clicking the Play button is required
(Pro) AdminCP Inventory Management
- Admins can search through a user's inventory and delete items from their inventory
- Search parameters / filters include items per page, user name (optional), sorting and an optional item filter
- Items can be added to a specific user's inventory
- Items will default to inactive and unconfigured, so users can configure and activate them
- Items can also be mass added to either all user groups, or users who are a member of a specific usergroup
Shop Management
- Admins and User Shop owners can set another person as "Benficiary" of the shop to receive a percentage 0-100 of the proceeds
- Can be same as shop owner, none (extra money vanishes into thin air) or another userId
- Amounts can be split in any amount of 0-100%
Shops / Items General
- Front-end: Shop list does not display if only one shop is active
- Front-end: Item list can now have more or less than 5 items per line depending on the skin
- Items have an AdminCP toggle to force it to not be displayed in the postbit. Purchased items are forcibly set to Hidden and cannot be un-hidden.
- Items with the Item Type "Usergroup Permissions (Yes / No)" or "Usergroup Permissions (Values)" can now override up to 5 permissions each.
- (Pro) Custom items now displays icons from a separate folder from admin-created items
General / Other
- The bank balance of each currency can optionally be displayed in the postbit. Toggled by a vBOption setting.
- The profile tab can be disabled via a vBOption setting.
- The Purchase Notification PM now lists the quantity of items purchased
- All PMs sent by this mod now displays the forum signature
- Item display in the postbit now shows gift giver and gift message if any were entered, where applicable
- All "Yes / No / Default" usergroup permission selectors now have vB-style "All Yes / All No / All Default" buttons
