    Default Banned Users Receiving Newsletter

    Since there are no Usergroup permissions for the Newsletter mod, how can we prevent Banned Users from receiving the Newsletter - it appears as if they are receiving them which obviously is not a good thing.

    In order for a user to be considered banned, they must be a member of only usergroup(s) that have the "Is Not Banned Group" set to No.

    Example: User belongs to user groups Registered Users, and Banned Users. User is not considered banned, because "Registered Users" has "Is Not Banned Group" set to Yes.

    The users I saw the newsletter emailed to were ONLY in the 'Banned' usergroup, which as you said, should not be getting any emails. And yet it send it.

    Are you basing this off of a banned member asking you why they received the newsletter, or because it said "processed user" in the scheduled task log?

    If it's the latter, that may be working as intended, since the banned user exclusion only skips the actual email sending, not the "log this user as not receiving this newsletter again for X amount of time" bit.

    I am basing it off seeing a banned member's name in the list of folks it was sending the newsletter to when I clicked 'Run Now' in scheduled tasks. So sounds like they may not receive it, it just looks like they will... I will let this one go unless I hear of someone getting it who shouldn't have. Thanks!

    I believe it will say "Processing user" or something to that effect, which is there just for consistency's sake. If it showed no output because it skipped 20 invalid users, that would be a bit odd to someone running it manually.
