Hi, I'm testing DBSEO 2.0.36 on my localhost and I registered a user with Persian characters (like سعید)
And all of the required DBSEO options have been met, since thread URLs are lunched, but my problem is in user profile link
The default user link structure is local/vb/members/[user_name] which is local/vb/members/سعید in my local, but when I click on it, it shows there's no registered username!
htaccess is like you said, but I don't know what to do more.
Would you please provide me some help?
Regards,
Saeed

Is your database and forum language both set to UTF-8? Have you also enabled UTF-8 in the DBSEO CP settings?

I tried all types of UTF-8 unicodes in phpmyadmin, but still says that user is not registered
I also installed this version on my website, but did not keep working

In that case I would recommend you change your URL format to one that includes the User ID, otherwise this part of the application will not work correctly for you. Sorry :(

Oops, I did not have any subscription mail of this thread for your last reply!
The problem I have is solved in VBSeo and it's easy to use such these links, but as that product is no more supported, I would like to use the better and newer SEO product, surely.
I mean after having changed the database, there's no add any lines to htaccess? I think something should be added, I suspect!
Thanks

Unfortunately just because something worked in vBSEO does not guarantee it works in this product, as it's not the same product. You will need to add the user ID to the URL format.

I realise this is not your desired configuration, and I can only apologise for the inconvenience.

Thanks Fillip H. for replying
If I install this product on my website, would you please take a look at it? If you allow, I'll send you host&forum information.
By the way, my vB is not licensed, do you mind it?

Sure, but I cannot guarantee I can actually make a difference.

I will be able to look at your site on Monday at the earliest.

Update: I've had a look at your site and unfortunately I haven't been able to work out a solution.

If you end up getting the Pro version, you would be able to construct a member URL string that included both the user name and the user ID, which would be the best of both worlds, however this functionality is not available in the Lite version at this time.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help :(

Thanks for having looked
But a great question: If this option works, why did not you use it in this forum? And if needs to meet some requirements, why did not you write in anywhere? And even this single option does not work, why did you put it?

If this option works, why did not you use it in this forum?
We use user IDs in our member profile URLs for performance and reliability reasons, the same reasons I am asking you to use them for :)
