We are looking to purchase the pro version of the review software in order to get away from AWFUL reviewpost / reviewpost support. But in order to do the move, we have to be able to migrate all of the review data from Reviewpost into Dragonbyte Reviews. Is there an importer available for Reviewpost?

Bump. We have a very large installation and need to know if we're going to be able to import our reviews.

26 views and no response? All I need to know is whether there is a reviewpost importer available. If not, we can write one in-house, but I need to know if one already exists...

I'm in the same boat as you, no development being done on ReviewPost, would like to switch off, but we have almost 600 reviews and associated replies, etc. information in our ReviewPost tables. If you find an importer or if you write one, please let me know!

I'm having a problem with DBSEO mucking up SEO friendly Reviewpost URLs, I'm assuming that problem would go away if I went with the Pro version of the Review software here, but again, importing/migrating is a big sticking point.

Will do. We would make our own importer but we've got no interest in purchasing a license unless we know that our data can be moved over. And we don't know that our data can be moved over until we have a license. I'll update this thread if we ever go ahead and purchase / create an importer.

Could you not download and install the Lite version and see what sort of tables/fields it sets up and then assuming the full version uses the same data structure you could write an importer to match up data between those fields. Of course if they could either provide you a schema for the database for this mod or guarantee your money back after purchase for a certain time those would be other ways of handling it. In addition to getting all the articles/reviews to transfer over successfully, reviewpost has add-ons that do various things, for example I run 2 of them. One of them publishes a new post to the forum in a specific sub category that I set up to echo articles into the forum for search ease, and the other is the plug-in that publishes the 5 most recent articles with mini pics at the bottom of your forum listing on the forumhome page. I suspect I would lose both of these if I migrated unless DBTech has similar features/add-ons.

Please note that if you are asking questions, we ask that you submit your support ticket as a "How Do I?" and not as a "Feature Request". Feature Requests are just that, requests for new functionality. As such, we do not see Feature Requests in our support ticket system as tickets needing a response.

As the moment, only [Chris] Reviews and Forum Threads are supported.

Quick note: The Lite and Pro versions both use the exact same data structure, all necessary tables & columns are installed when you install the Lite version :)

DragonByte Reviews does have instance support as well, and each instance can be configured independently.
