Question clarification for use on 3.8

Just noticed you have this now for 3.8. Does this create a sidebar like the live feed you have on DBTech?

Do you have a 3.8 demo forum with this running?

I'm also a little confused about the "comment" system that is part of this mod. I'm curious what the background/thinking was for this feature. Is the forum posting supposed to be the comment system? Would comments potentially take away from the posting activity? One of the metrics I think many use for determining the activity of a forum is the posting...I've become a lot more conscious of trying to promote that. (I know this is a pro feature...and I'm sure can be turned on/off, but I'm just wondering about your thoughts behind the comment system.)

No, as vBulletin 3.8 does not have a Forum Sidebar like vBulletin 4.x does.

So the live forum feed is on its own separate page I guess. I know this is a huge stretch (considering we are lucky to have a 3.8 version) but I have to ask...Is there any chance of a vbadvanced module?

Maybe an extra fee or pro only for 3.8 for the vbadvanced module....

My personal speculation is that it's unlikely that it will receive a vBAdvanced module, since it's something that not all our customers will be able to use - as opposed to a new feature or three, which all our users can use

The comments in posts was actually a requested feature that we added. The general thinking behind it is to allow people to comment on posts, which is very useful for certain types of forums where trying to reply to an individual post would simply get lost in the thread - this allows people to leave feedback on an image for instance, or on a piece of text (say a story) someone has placed - or for instance leave easy feedback on someone selling something or offering a service.

If anyone else has this installed already on their 3.8 forum, I would be interested in seeing it in action a bit.

I would install it on my test forum, but I have converted that to vb4. /

I have the Pro version installed on my 3.8.7 forum - Live Feed - Digiscrap Forum
