"Optional .htaccess-like login on a per-administrator basis"

where is this config setting?

thank you for the reply....however i do not see this being an option...

here is a screen shot to verify...i can confirm my acct is set to superadmin....pretty confused, any ideas?

its the first big lettered claim of the product description, i was surprised to not be able to find it...

Two things:
1. That's an older version of vBSecurity, not the latest version :)

2. This feature is Pro-only, sorry.

hmm strange....well...he did purchase pro...and it was installed only yesterday....what sense does that make?

it is version 2.2.4 what is more recent than that???

its even written in the thread info confused...why you would say this

The only other thing I can think of is that your account is lacking the Super Administrator permission in config.php, that may limit the access to some of the menu items.

nope thats not it either, as there are about 10 dbtech products on there...5-6 pro ones and i can see all of the options from those...we changed that setting early on.....

its unfortunate because its the first bold sentence of the product is talking about 2fa and .htaccess and we dont see any of that...perhaps i can try on a default installation if you confirm it should indeed be there?

In that case I'm not rightly sure what to say to be honest, the v3 branch of the mod is currently in private testing and when it gets released we can re-check this :)

i will make a fully default vb4 installation to verify and look at ;)

this is currently being applied to an ugraded vb3 test site, but is currently on vb4.2.4 in case that was confused...

That shouldn't make a difference, I'm not quite sure where that feature went from the XML files but I can't really look at old versions to try to resolve it, it'll be resolved in a future version though :)

not saying its missing from old versions, its not in the current one...im digging in trying to trace some of those more vital like gallery import issues we are having atm, but i will try to show you on a clean install if you want to verify......im sure you can just as easily do this, but its the first sentence in your product description, both on the main product page, and the vbsecurity specific one>>

"Adds 2 factor authentication"

or from the pro version feature list>>

"* Optional .htaccess-like login on a per-administrator basis"

neither of these are currently found, and it is in this case it was main the reason the product was purchased....

.htaccess pw isnt brain surgury to setup, but when somebody wants an easy way to not mess with things, and they pay you for it, then its not there.....its bad business, you should fix that
