Social groups are a long neglected area of vBulletin. Given a bit more functionality and flexibility, they could have great potential - event organisation, project management, real group management, RPG tabletop campaigns.
To do this they need to be both more functional and more flexible.
1) Calendar integration. There are mods on vBulletin.org to do this; it's a no-brainer.
1b) This should include invites, RSVPs, etc.
2) Multiple picture albums. By default they have one. Any serious project or group will need to categorise them.
3) File storage. Again, no brainer. What organisation or group dirsn't need to distribute files?
4) Full forum capability.
5) Unlimited info pages. Probably just using the vbulletin editor.
6) Full member management. Invitations, applications.
7) Special data fields and forms. Any group will need to keep track of data - maybe finances, RPG statistics, sports scores, whatever. Group owner defines the field names and values. Each field can show sequential values which change I er time.
8) Each member gets a page for an owner designed group specific profile/info page.
I'm sure there are more ideas. But social groups ate currently half hearted useless things, and could bd a very powerful and flexible tool.
