Hi,

Can you please explain the difference? Do I need them all? And do these three hacks work together?

I want to let users collect point so they can 'buy' new functionality from vbulletin (extra PM space, bigger signature) and (custom) hacks.
Is vBActivity & Awards enough for this?

Thank you!

Hello domenico,

vBShop or vBCredits is what you would need for your members to earn points to spend. Each one has it's own functionality, and is up to you which one to use, depending on how you want to control the earnings. You can compare them by going here, vBActivity & Awards and here, vBCredits II Deluxe

As fas as spending the earned points you would need this mod, vBActivity & Awards & vBShop

I would suggest trying out the Lite versions to see which suits your needs before getting the Pro version.

Sorry for missing this :(

vBActivity is more aimed towards the ability to track and reward people's activity with Achievements and fancy bars (like the one you see here on this forum if you click the right-most tab in the postbit).

If you don't care about this, go with vBCredits as it is much better at being a "points" mod - it was designed for it :)

vBShop will let you sell the things you want, and it integrates with both vBActivity and vBCredits :)

Thank you both for answering! :)

Can vBCredits also give points for user activity?

Sorry for my questions but because of the way I think simple things are made difficult. ;)

It does, yeah. vBCredits has close to, if not all events vBActivity has as well.

Ah ok that makes most of it clear. We need vBCredits and vBShop.

Are there special instructions to link/make them work together?

The only thing you need is to know the Points Table and Points Column from vBCredits, you can then edit the currency in vBShop and change the identical settings there. For the default currency in vBCredits, the values are user and credits for Points Table and Points Column respectively.

If you re-post it as a feature request, we can look into the feasibility of adding it to a future feature update :)

I answered that post in my post above yours :)

If you're referring to the ability to do it yourself, that would vary wildly based on your / your coder's skill level, so it's difficult for me to answer that.
