Server hierarchy needed for DragonByte SEO?

Seriously looking at buying DragonByte SEO and wondering if this needs to be installed into root?.....at present the forums on our server are installed at:
home>custom_name>public_html>

will DragonByte SEO still work?

downloaded and installed the lite version and added info to .htaccess but got 404error all over forum so may also buy the pro installation add-on but only if the above will work.

If your forum is installed in public_html it'll work just fine

Apache v2.2.14 (cgi-fcgi)

Hmm, that's very strange. Can you try removing the comment before the Options -MultiViews line in the .htaccess file and see if that helps?

If that doesn't work, you can PM me with an FTP and AdminCP account, I can look into this further.
