I have been using the Post Thanks Hack for quiet a while now and it is no longer supported, but your plug-in is. I have the lite version installed, but understand that if I pay the 3 months $19.95 price here, I can access a converter to move over the stats from the other plug-in.

My question is whether or not once I convert the stats if in the future the plug-in is updated due to vbulletin updates, can I re-install over the pro version the lite version and keep my stats? Can I go backwards from pro to light without reinstalling?

I do not mind pay the $19.95 once for a converter, but I do not want to have to continue paying that price each time the plug-in has to upgrade. I do not think I need any of the other upgrade features.

Or can I pay $19.95 for just the converter and use it on the lite version?

Also, does the converter just update the statistics in the drop down or does it show the thanks on each individual post in the forum where they were located. We used the thank feature as teachers to mark that credit was given for lessons in the forum and so we would like to be able to see which posts were thanked.

Thank you for your help in advance.

You can downgrade from Pro to Lite by deleting the /includes/xml/dbtech_thanks_pro.xml and delete the thanks_pro folder from /dbtech :)

Also, if you buy the Lifetime licence, you won't ever need to pay again for upgrades, so that might be something to consider also :)
You may find yourself needing some of the advanced features like the ability to un-thank a post, have per-forum button usage controls (rather than per-category) etc.

Okay, so I purchased a lifetime and installed it, but I do not see the feature anywhere for migrating the Post Hack Thanks into this add-on. That is what I wanted to do and why I purchased the product as indicated above.

Please help me learn how to do that. I understood this was part of the feature from the vbulletin.org site lite version thread.

Please follow the instructions in the zip file called Readme_import.txt

Additionally please use the pro support forum for support related issues.

I don't know how I missed that as I thought I read all of the read me carefully. Thanks for your prompt answer.

FYI - the read me has the wrong file location, but I was able to find it.
Current: [your admin dir]/thanksimport.php
Should be: [your admin dir]/admincp/thanksimport.php

No, "your admin dir" means /admincp/ if that's your admincp directory (default), or whatever you may have altered vBulletin's config.php file to point your AdminCP to another directory.

vBulletin allows you to rename your AdminCP directory.
