Hi.

How can I delete or edit the 'updated status' on the wall.
I checked 'Can Manage Own Statuses' and 'Can Manage Others' Statuses' for the permissions.
But I can't find delete or edit button with updated status.
How do I?

Thanks.

There's no edit functionality, only delete. There's a small X image next to each status / comment :)

OK, I see, There's just only delete functionality.
But There's a X image next to only comment. I can't find a X image next to status.
I re-checked my permissions. And I tried clean re-install for three.
My permission is checked 'Can Manage Own Statuses' and 'Can Manage Others' Statuses' for the permissions.
Am I miss some what?

I can't find delete button for my Statuses of your site. Do you un-checked 'Can Manage Own Statuses' permissions for users?

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

I re-sent PM to you.

And, I retried install Live Feed.
I clean install Vbulletin. I mean install just only Vbulletin3.8.7. with Live Feed.
And setting permission for admin.
But I can't find delete button for 'Updated Status'.
I can see just only the delete button for comments.

Thanks. :)

As said in the PM, the FTP information you are providing me is either incorrect or you have a security system on your server that is denying my login.

If you cannot resolve this then I will be unable to assist you, as FTP access is critical to be able to investigate and figure out the cause of this issue.

I'm sorry.
But I don't know what is the problem.
I think, The problem caused by my webhosting company's security system.
But I have no problem to connect my FTP with my informations.
I'm using Transmit FTP program.
Please..Could you try normal conneting for FTP again?

And I re-sent PM with more informations.

Thanks for your tring. :)
And sorry my bad English.

That is correct, we had disabled that permission. It's enabled now, though. You can try again now :)

Ok, I understand about the FTP problem.
I give up about the assist. No problem.

I found some problem with the 'Live Feed & User Wall (Pro) 1.2.3 version' for VB3.8.X.
Could you please check out the 'dbtech_livewall_entry' template?

This part is from the 'dbtech_livewall_entry' template for VB3.8.X about the '$entry[phrase]'.
It's downloaded from your site for DragonByte Tech: Forum Live Feed & User Wall (Pro) 1.2.3 version.

It's different with VB4.
I think, Vb3 version is left out the delete button. Do you?
Please, re-check the template and sorce(php) files for VB3.8.X about the delete button.

This is code for VB3.
HTML:
<div style="display:inline-block;">
					{$entry[phrase]}
					<if condition="$entry['preview']">
						<div class="livewall_preview">" {$entry[preview]} "</div>
					</if>

This is code for VB4.
HTML:
<div style="display:inline-block;">
					{vb:raw entry.phrase}
				<vb:if condition="$show['deletestatus']">
					<img name="livewall_deletestatus" data-statusid="{vb:raw entry.contentid}" src="{vb:raw vboptions.bburl}/dbtech/livewall/images/delete.png" alt="{vb:rawphrase dbtech_livewall_delete_status}" style="cursor:pointer; vertical-align:top;" />
				</vb:if>
					<vb:if condition="$entry['preview']">
						<div class="livewall_preview">" {vb:raw entry.preview} "</div>
					</vb:if>

I think so, You left out the delete functionality for 'Update status' for Vb3.8.X version.
I just can found only delete button code for comment.
Please re-check about the 'delete button' for 'Update status' for the Vb3.8.X version's template and source files

Sorry my English.
Thanks.

You're absolutely correct, thank you for the awesome post :D

I've fixed it now, you can re-download and re-import the XML file and it should be fixed now :)

Thanks,

I Re-installed with fixed version.

I can found the delete button with 'Update Status'.
And I tested the delete button.
I get the one problem when I click the button.
I get the delete message and just OK, but 'Update Status' is remain on the wall.
The 'Update Status' is disappeared when I refresh the wall page.

I think maybe the problem caused by about the Ajax code problem.

Please re-check the code.

Thanks. :)
