What is involved in writing a importer? I read the post about custom work and what it costs. But this is not a 1 week job, more like a 3-4 hour job. I could probably map the old database to the new database structure, but I don't know enough to write it myself. Is this anything that you guys are interested in doing?

Thanks!

A cms called subdreamer. It was popular back in the day, when they made it easy to tie into several forum systems. I think the official name of the downloads plugin was p13_downloads.

Well, it actually worked side by side. It tied into vbulletins login system for users, permissions, etc. Then you could hit a button and it would skin vbulletin to try to match the cms skin you had selected.

It uses a mysql database just like vbulletin, and all the user names were controlled by vbulletin.

Ok that's a bit more info to go on, I suppose Cosmic maybe able to answer your question.

Our minimum rate for any custom work is $500 unfortunately - below that and it's simply not worth the interruption to our scheduled work.

You could try the paid requests on vbulletin.org or elancer for people who are available for work at an hourly rate :)
