      Default Set Path To Downloads

      Hiya

I've installed vB Downloads but I'm having trouble setting the Path To Downloads option in the AdminCP.

Whichever folder I select I get the following error:

It says to place the download folder outside of the public_html folder (www, in my case) but it won't let me.

My forum is on a VPS and is located in /var/www/forum. If I add /var/downloads (which is not publicly accessable) to the box it looks for forum/var/downloads, which obviously doesn't exist

Put the folder where ever you like, then follow the info below.

You can find out the location you need to use for your downloads folder using this file: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/vbdow...load&fileid=38

That will give you something like /home/user/public_html/ if you upload and run it from your public_html folder. Simply alter that to your downloads folder (must already be created) as such: /home/user/downloads/

You should start your own thread, as this one is considered by the system as solved, it also helps us debug stuff when you fill in the required info.
