We are proud to announce that our new registration overhaul modification, Advanced Registration, is now open in closed beta stages. We expect it to go to open beta stage in about 2 weeks.

We have incorporated many popular and requested features such as an invite system, the ability to force email verification before registration in a secure manner, custom registration page layout, and guest redirects!

Here's a complete feature list in the existing beta product. This feature list will likely increase as we head to open beta.

Dragonbytetech is getting more and more interesting.

Some suggestions:
- allow guest to post before registration. That would severely boost registrations.
- automatically delete bogus registrations after X days.
- let supermoderators moderate registrations. This relieves admins from workload.
- show profile fields in New User Moderation list. (great to spot spammers)
- let supermods deny registrations and select reason and allow users to correct it and resubmit.
- blacklist email domains from moderation queue.
- whitelist email domains from moderation queue.
- Google email domain from moderation queue.
- show/alert if new account problem is exposed by multiple account detector.

Except for the first suggestion I already have the above functionality and its a life saver. It saves so much workload, trouble and spam, that I think that it would be very valuable functionality to others.

I really like the idea of redirecting back to the register page. This will be a very nice and useful feature. @Pandemikk
There is no forum for this mod yet so I will post a feature request here.;

• Automatic introduction thread creation upon email verification.
• Redirect upon email confirmation to a specified forum or introduction post.

Mh what conditions do I need to join a DB Tech Closed Beta? .....I'm not a coder , but I read the notification mail and it says there are free spots left.
I'd be interested . To say thank you I would translate the mod into German

If I may add a few more suggestions to the list:

1- Additional/replacement options for the user verification would be nice. There are probably other mods out there that do this but I haven't looked into them.
2- Temporary/Newbie usergroups for new members, who upon fitting a criteria (X posts, days registered, etc) get upgraded to regular Registered Member status.
3- Extra Anti-Spambot features during registration. I'm thinking something along the lines of what the Spam-o-matic does... but with actual support and updates :P

I'll keep watch over this mod as it progresses.
