Sound popper driving me crazy!

I thought to post this before the years end regarding your sound popper whenever I visit the forums a sound bar pops up and makes a pop sound and want to smash it!

I do believe what you are hearing/seeing is the shout sounds notification.

To disable go to usercp and click on Shoutbox Settings in the left pane, and untick Shout Sounds, Invite Sounds and PM Sound

That should stop that for you, if not let me know.

Also, the fact that the sounds pop like that when you visit the page is due to a Chrome issue. It does not happen in IE or Firefox, and is due to Chrome's faulty implementation of the <embed> tag.

Yes that was what it was... I disabled all sound notifications...
