I just had a question regarding setting the default states of currencies created with vBCredits. When searching for users using the "Recalculate User Amounts" feature, there are checkboxes for each currency that denotes if it's "Earnable" and "Spendable". In my case, I would like to make my secondary currency earnable, but not spendable. Thus far the only way I've found to do this is to use that menu to manually set it for each user.

Is there a way to set a currency to be "Unspendable" by default?

Additionally, I had a question regarding the "Transfer" action. Currently I've got two currencies, and I need users to be able to convert from the "spending" currency into the "non-spending" currency. While I managed to get this working after some fiddling, it would be a great help if I could set which currency is selected as the "primary" one in the popup box. (Right now, users have to click to open the popup, and select the right currency in both dropdown boxes to transfer)

Is it possible to set the default "selected" currency for the action?

To do this, you should make sure that the currency does not have any Transfer events from it. That will essentially make it unspendable :)

The trick there is I need to be able to transfer INTO it, but have it not be spendable. All the documentation I read stated that to be able to transfer one currency to another, a transfer action needed to be set up on BOTH currencies. Is this incorrect?

As far as I'm aware, you only need to set up a transfer event on the currency you need to transfer FROM. Try it, and let me know how it goes :)

Once I remove the transfer or donate event from the opposite currency, the dropdown boxes only display one currency when trying to transfer. It seems I need to have a transfer or donate action in the "non-spending" currency for it to work correctly. Any ideas why?

What about if you create events for both currencies, and set the same spendable currency in both events?

It's entirely possible the system was not created with your desired use in mind, so if this doesn't work then I'll have to change this to a Feature Request.

If you mean setting both transfer actions to "currency 1" in the CP menu, that doesn't work. If you mean setting the currency in the popup box for the transfer action, it just returns an error.

The fact that there's a tick box to turn off "spending" while retaining "earning" in the "Recalculate User Amounts" menu tells me that someone was thinking about this functionality, at the very least. I just wish there was a way to set it globally by default. I'm sure I can make it work the way I need it to with a few edits but it's a shame there isn't a way already built in.

One way or the other, I suppose this can be changed to a "Feature Request". If I make any headway getting it to work I'll reply here for posterity's sake. Thanks for your help, anyways :)
