hey there...

I upgrade this from 3.x .. It worked for first day.. now it does not work..

link in navbar wont show
credits counts in postbit does not show.
it says in transaction that users are earning point, but no addition to their credits.

I double check all the setting.. all looks okay to me...

any help ?

did you install/upgrade/enable the vbcredits_vbulletin actionset? Sounds like it is missing according to your description.

woops.. I had that installed but wasnt enabled.. lol Thanks

But, there is another issue.. Now it shows everywhere, but the thing, I have an event that gives each user one credit upon creating a new thread. I created a thread, in transaction it says I received one credit, but my actual did not raise .. I still have same amount what i had before i created that thread.. Why is that?

I checked the permission and I am allowed to earn credits, same thing reported by other users..

So, in transaction it says users earned it but their credits does not go up...

Why is that?

here is the screenshot of currency setting.

As I posted in that thread, vBCredits absolutely will not create any tables for currencies. You have a second table through some other means.

While it DOES say "user", it combines with the very next setting "Use vBulletin Table Prefix" which means the actual table that gets used becomes "vb_user" (in your case of "vb_" as the table prefix). I made the settings this way should you want to use a table outside of the vb schema and I could list defaults within vb that did include the prefix without having to actually know what it was.

As for your earning issue, I can look at your settings if you PM me an admin login

okay there is another problem...

Yesterday, I made some changed in currency changes..

I put VB_USER under table field and check NO to use prefix...
and I got Database Error..

Then I went to phpmyadmin, edit table VB_CREDITS_CURRENCY and revert the changes ( put user instead of vb_user and set 1 for prefix ) then I press GO

But I am still getting errors..

After making those changes in Database, I disabled all plugins via config.php and went to admin panel and click Currency Manager, I get no permission error..

Please provide me solution for this, so I can give you Forum Admin access..

Thanks

Please please please trust me that the correct setting for your currency is "user" and 1/yes for use table prefix! It is doing the right thing and calculating to vb_user I promise! That is not what is causing any of your issues!

You are getting that no permission error because vBCredits adds an admin permission which is overridden by being a super admin, but by disabling all plugins you turned off the part that assigns that permission. It sounds like you'll need to give me FTP access eventually as well, so might just send that and I'll get everything straightened out.

lol, I got it.. But I just wanted to give it a shot... Sorry about that..
However, I revert back all the changes I made, but it still showing up that database error.
I do not mind giving you admin access to troubleshot that, but giving away ftp access wouldn be as easier as it seems..
I would really appreciate if you walk me through to get rid off this database error, then you can take over from there...
As an admin, I hope you understand.

Or, If we can arrange an appointment we might figure something out together.

Thanks, will be waiting for your reply.

allright, some magic happens :)
When i turn on this mod today, there was no db error.

However, still facing the currency problem. Still upon creating new thread there was no update to currency..

I will pm you admin details today or tom at vb.org

Thanks

I just fixed someone else who seemed to have the same issue as you did, but to apply it to you I will need FTP access. Can you PM me that here at dbtech?

I set you to immediate transactions and processed any leftover pending ones - you seem to be earning again :) i made a test thread to be sure.
I think I am done with all of the access now then - let me know if you have any other problems!

you might want to run the recalculation functions to get everyone back to the amounts they should have and to make up for the time when you had the addon disabled. if you need help with that, theres instructions here: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/threads/1599-Recalculating-Credits

No, I dun wanna to do that.. and yes i checked they seems to be working now..
Thanks allot for your help..
I m gonna disable, vb credits for now.. untill I fully configure them, I hope this wont bring back the same error again ?

Have a nice day/night.
