I've just ordered a copy of it on playstation 3, wondered if anyones played it and what they think of it so far, i heard its 5 discs long on Xbox since its such a massive and graphical game. I'm a big fan of Final fantasy but i'm kinda worried this game might be a let down like final Fantasy 12 was. but i have high hopes that it will be a fantastic game. hopefully they'll of realised there massive mistake with the inverted X axis camera angle they did in 12 which forced me not to play the game.

PFFFFF. Final Fantasy is for NERDS.

*Totally pretends she is toooo coooool.*

Ahem. I've actually never played the Final Fantasy games, but then, I rarely play video games to begin with, so it's not that surprising. I've always love the cinematic style and the story lines for them though! It's been a longass time since I've watched someone playing any of them. My lovebunny dun like most RPG games, so he dun have them!

I like to keep up to date with the current Final Fantasy. XD After one comes out, the forums get a flood of people using FF names and doing roleplays based off it.

thats the sweetest thing about it, is that the games are so awesome that people can roleplay their fav characters easily and have fun in doing so. plus the games are always in depth and thought out, they take forever to make because theres no detail left untouched.

I pre-ordered FF13 and I've played through it. I've reached the final chapter and I'm about to finish off the game. It's got pros/cons to the game, you will either love/hate the battle system (I love personally). I have it on PS3 so no dealing with 5 disks and 1080p glory, I've had no issues with the camera either (I believe you can switch the axis), you most of the time you won't need it since it adjusts pretty well.

If anything the only letdown in the game for me is the story, just doesn't meet the standards of previous FF games. But that's my opinion, story aside the battle/paradigm system makes up for enjoyable gameplay :D

I've played it and i'm about half way through, the graphics are stunning, the gameplay is stunning, the monsters look fantastic and the FMV's are breathtaking. i love the battle system although i do miss my old FF7/8 style controll all characters turn based system. they fixed the fatal error of not allowing you to invert camera angles like in FF12 where the X-Axis was inverted and you couldn't change it. The only thing that is kind of annoying with the game is at the start theres not enough gameplay, maybe they want you to know the story first and bombard you with cut scenes every time you've taken a few steps theres another cut scene. amazing as they are this is somewhat distracting and takes away a good chunk of the gameplay element, the start is like you are actually in a movie and you choose what happens kinda thing. it makes you beg for more action gameplay wise. but this stems out later on when theres not so much cut scene and more of what we love. as far as the storyline goes i quite like it. although a little plain its still the bare bones of a fantasy style structure. compared to the storylines of FF7/8/9/10 its a little bland but they poured so much into the game design and gameplay. one thing that you'd expect from Square Enix is their state of the art graphical design, they've always been one step ahead when it comes to graphics, they always beat any other game for style and looks even in the early stages like ff6 and 7 had the best graphics of their time for the capabilities of the machines they were designed for.

Since the Ps3 has amazing capabilities, Square has harnessed its power and really gone to town developing the most smooth and realistic fantasy game i've ever come across. image the graphics of The elder scrolls oblivion combined with fallout3, then times that awesomeness by 10 and your about 1/100th of how amazing the graphics for FF13 are.

lot of my friends have it. Im too damn broke from putting money into my car to get a PS3 :(
But it does look amazing graphic wise and the story is okay.
if they remade FF7 with graphics like that...then man @_@ I could die happy

seriously its probably better than people made out it would be (which was pretty epic anyway). so far i've just hit chapter 6 and i'm about to enter the free roaming areas where the path is not so constricted and linear. from what my friend told me whos further ahead theres a fair few suprises in store. i heard from him that theres some sorta monster arena like in FFX and that your able to free-roam more on a world map kinda thing. which is good. I recently fought my second Eidolon (Odin) it was a damn hard fight but eventually i won after like 12 tries XD. the summon system is pretty epic, i love how it works although your summons only last a certain amount of time before they leave the battlefield as theres a guage that constantly decreases and the summon will dissappear when it reaches 0, however the more attacks you do the slower it will decrease or something along those lines, i need to play about with it more to find out, but theres two parts to eidolons, firstly its similar to FFX where your eidolon stands next to you and fights for you (only this time you too can fight as well as the eidolon) and then you can go into a new mode which is called Gesalt where your summon transforms into its gesalt mode where the player rides/combines/uses the eidolon (think transformers) with odin he turns into his horse he rides in previous FF titles and you get to use the attack odin would do, you pick up odins epic looking sword and ride the horse whilst perfoming powerful attacks, certain button combinations allow you to do certain attacks (yes Zantesuken is among them) so its pretty epic fighting, the visuals for the attacks are impressive too.

Hey i borrowed it from a friend because i wasnt to keen on the story line but after a couple days of playing it it has become one of my favorite games ever. i cant forgive my friend cause he took the game back off me before i completed it but it is genuinly an epic game, the only downside i had about the game (but quickly got over) was the way that you find your summons, like having to get the right stance to beat the doom ocunter, but like i said aside from that it is a truely epic game =3
