Bug Unable to activate buttons

When I click the enable button option or any other option and press save, the system gives me an error page.

It appears as though a 401 error occurs.

I am unable to try the software because of this error.

Hi there,

If you receive a HTTP 401 Unauthorized error, that would be an error with your server configuration. If there was a problem with the file permissions, you would be receiving a 403 No Permission error instead.

Unfortunately you will need to contact your server administrator for more information as that is not a normal error to receive.

While this may be the case, the attached images (capture1.png - selected item) (Capture.png - the error) show what I am seeing. It looks like a 401 error but it does nto say it is a 401 error.

it says "Invalid Page URL. If this is an error and the page should exist, please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this message"

Aha, I see. That was an issue someone else reported earlier; for no apparent reason, they decided to change the requirements for how to create your AdminCP pages with forms.

I've hotfixed the existing versions, if you re-download the products and re-upload them they should now be working. Let me know if not :)
 
Are you sure you re-uploaded the new files? The fixes were in the files themselves, not the XML file.
 
Hi...

Yes. I uploaded all of the files and it didn't work.

So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it didn't work.

What should I be looking for? It seems to me that it is looking for a file somewhere and can't seem to find it. If I knew what file I could track it down and see if it is in the right spot.
 
All the files in the /packages/dbtech<>/action/admin need to have instances of print_form_header('thanks replaced by print_form_header('admincp/thanks and similar for InfoPanels.

The latest release files should have these changes.
 
I mean the latest release files that are available in the Client Area should already have these changes, I confirmed it on another site running the same problem.

You can modify the files yourself if this is not the case for you for whatever reason :)
 
OK...I tried to reinstall. Went through and uninstalled. Checked the file locations and removed everything that had been uploaded previous.

reinstalled the product including the XML files.

Still the same. Not sure if I am doing something wrong but if you could point me in the right direction to ensure my files are being overwritten properly I would be appreciative.
 
Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.
