The url may not work because it is not live yet.

The error that appears when tagging a user in a post is:
Warning: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in ..../includes/functions_newpost.php on line 200

I am aware that this is because the server is using php 5.5. I solved the issue of the error appearing on the screen by putting error_reporting(0); at the top of functions_newpost.php.

However this did not resolve the issue of vbulletin displaying this error with its error page:
This forum requires that you wait 30 seconds between posts. Please try again in 29 seconds.

The email still goes out and post is saved but the user is not returned to the thread.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

That is a vBulletin file, it is not related to this mod at all. vBulletin 4 does not support PHP 5.5 at this time.

I know this is a vBulletin file however the problem only happens when using the tagging function. This is why I am asking for assistance.

No, this does not happen only when using the mention function. You can also trigger this error by manually writing a link into a post, like so: Google

If you manually write that out, as opposed to using the "Link" BBCode control, you will run into the same issue.
