So I recently installed this add-on, thought it was working pretty well and whatnot, till I noticed something: if you've viewed/posted in (not sure which yet) a thread before and someone mentions you in it, you don't receive a notification for it. Is this natural behavior for this add-on? And if so, is there a way to change it so that members can get mention notifications, even if they've viewed the thread before?

That is not something I am able to replicate on any testing environment I have access to.

Let me know when you have figured out whether it's just viewed, or posted :)

Now I'm not even sure. It really just seems random now, because it doesn't have anything to do with viewing/posting in a topic, since we just ran a few tests with that. It seems like the issue lies within members mentioning staff members, but that I'm not even sure of, because I can't get consistent results. Is it also worth noting that the [mention] tags (the ones that are produced from clicking the speaker button when posting) don't work, but instead just display the @ symbol, no matter what name is entered?

In that case I am sadly unable to assist until you can find a way to consistently reproduce it :(

You are not supposed to use the MENTION BBCode to mention people, it's only supposed to be used in conjunction with the User ID. It's an internal helper BBCode that vBulletin seems to want to add to the bar.
