Question No email notification

I just installed this on VB 4.1.8, and then mentioned myself and another user in a test post. I can see the mentions on the User CP for myself, but did not receive an email notification. Is that supposed to be immediate, or is it a batch process?

Other than that, liking the mod. FYI, our admincp is in a custom folder, so if there is code that references the default location, I will need to know where to change it.

Also, we received this error message after enabling the mod and clicking on the main Forum link in the menu:

Warning: fetch_template() calls should be replaced by the vB_Template class. Template name: Display_Visitors_User in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 4293

It repeats many times and goes away when I disable this mod, so something related to it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

It does use the mailqueue, I believe. Also, you need to make sure your account is set up to receive emails from administrators, and receive emails from other members. If either of those are not set, you will not receive an email.

There are no references to the AdminCP in the files, and even if there were, it would use the config.php parameter :)

This is a bug with your "Display Visitors" mod. It was coded for vB3 and not updated for vB4, so you need to disable it.

I assume that this site setting, Allow Users to Email Other Members, also needs to be set to yes?

I figured it would, but you never know!

The only vBOption that needs to be enabled is Enable Email features?

The user that performs the quote must have permission to email other members, though (controlled by usergroup permissions).
