Could you add additional check if user's usergroup could see where he is mentioned, and if he couldn't see posts where he's mentioned, he don't even receives mentions about them? But, of course, mentioning user there makes this a link to his profile?

I have moderators and above who forget that not all users could see every part of forum and sometime mention users who after that see they are mentioned, but couldn't see where the link leads. And of course, they aren't happy about it as they now they are discussed about behind they back, so to speak.
