Code displayed in the Editor.

For Example:
Code:
<b>Date</b>:<br />
<br />

I did do a copy and paste from another post when I create the template...if that helps. ;)

I tried it again...
Yes I created the template with some words bold using the editor and the code showed up in the post.

Use bbcode [/B*] (without the *) not html code<b></b>

I will try after I get some sleep...:) Note: I used the ckeditor
I can think of a couple of things it could be...maybe a vb setting (I am trying to remember what it was)
or maybe the browser or maybe a bug...

Chat with you later.

Cheers,

If you used a template, then copy/pasted the post into another post, then the issue isn't with PT, as it no longer does anything :)

Sorry, I originally copied a post to create the template.
I then tried using notepad then pasted to create the template.

I clicked on Post Template to create the post and the code is displayed. This maybe a bug. :(

This is

a test

The above is a template I made here on DBTech following the steps you posted, and as you can see it's working fine :)

Okay have disable all mods accept vB and dbtech
Still have the issue even with a new default style.

Any dbtech staff want to take a look? :D

After a full day of pulling my hair out.

Here is the short term fix.

Go to your vB
Options --> Message Posting Interface Option --> Enable Standard Controls (Post Templates Works)

Enable Standard & WYSIWYG Control (Displays Code)

Feature Request: Post Templates needs to work with the WYSIWYG Control

We use the WYSIWYG option here and it works fine :)

Have you reverted all templates and flushed cache systems?

Yes all templates reverted in my New Default style.
Yes flushed cache.

Edit:
Okay it looks like am stuck...

So just to recap, it's like this:

You create a post using BBCode, then once the post is posted you copy it into the editor in the Post Templates area in the UserCP, then when you attempt to use the template HTML shows up instead of BBCode?

I have the same issue. And it was not like this before. I upgraded to the latest version, so I am still using my old templates that was created before. When editing the templates they look fine, no code, but when using them the code is added in the post.

Yes, Maybe we are both crazy...I am just happy I am not the only one. :)

Just for sanity's sake, disable the DragonByte Tech: Post Templates / editor_toolbar_end plugin in Plugin Manager and see if the issue still persists.

Yeah, I saw the other post for the CMS.
I tried it quickly but did not clear any cache...I will disable again and test it out. :)
