Help with VB Optimise
Hi,
I am going to purchase the optimize software after I try the Lite version out first.
Will I be able to upgrade easily once I purchase it?
I also have a config question.
1) I have to use Filecache as I do not have access to the server and I can't ask my host to install anything. I don't think anything else is installed on the server. Is there a way to find out?
All I know is that it is a Windows server.
2) Config.... Am I supposed to be changing the "No" to "YES" for:
Cache Style
Cache Template
Cache Datastore
To make it work?

The upgrade will be easy and pain free, as for your other questions the developer @Deceptor will answer those when he pops online =)

Thanks!
Everything turned on, reporting A-OK, will watch for a couple days... if we see improvements I will purchase the pro version to help support you.
Last question...
IF I can get my host to install WinCache will there be an improvement over using FileCache?

Well I got my host to install it. (I thought it may be hard to get them to do it)
Turned on WinCache in the settings and I can already feel the improvements.
Going to let it run for a few days and see if my users see a difference. If they do I will purchase the pro version as I can only expect it to make things even better.
The only sad part is my host won't allow changes to the directory structure permissions so I am stuck with the warning that I can't save file attachments outside the database as per the optimal settings check.
it is the only warning I am getting.

Okay.... I couldn't wait...
I went ahead and purchased the pro version.
Do I simply upload the new files and import the new product?
Or do I have to uninstall and re-install?

Just turn off vBO, upload the pro files and install the pro XML =)
