Cheers!

vBActivity is using a Points system for what i read, now can that points System be overwritten by the currency created with vBCredits ? If not it would very bad as too many points/currencys makes the users confused.

kind regards

No, vBActivity's points system can not be overriden. However, vBCredits can be configured to read from vBActivity points.

I guess I'm a little confused as to what the differences are in each MOD. Credits is a points mod, and creates points based on configurable actions a users does, however, doesn't vbactivity do the same thing?
Could you perhaps go into a small discussion of the benefits of each mod, where each could be useful.

little background. I run a military gaming community, we previously ran off phpbb, but recently upgraded to vb. On our old phpbb site, we had a points mod called "Ultimate Points by femu & Wuerzi", as well "Gremlinn Medals system MOD".
Both of these mods worked wonderfully together, and provided a very nice synergy of features. points could be banked, points could be gambled, given away, medals could be earned via participation, etc..

I would essentially like to get back to this state using vbulletin, and vbcredits and vbactivity appears to get me closest to that goal, but I wanted to ask the above questions, to see if I'm missing the point of one of these mods, or if additional features are available that i'm just not seeing.

Thank you for your time!

vBActivity's primary goal is to give your members statistics regarding their own and their comrades' activity levels on the forums. As such, the mod's got some basic "activity points for actions taken" like posting etc.
It's also got Achievements and Awards that can be handed out automatically (achievements) or manually (Awards).
The only reason why we allow the vBA points to be "spent" is because enough people requested it :)

vBCredits is vastly superior if all you're looking for is a points mod. It's got plenty of other features you can find in the feature lists, features that vBA don't need since it's primarily just an activity tracker :)
