No, but I'm relatively certain you can merge vBA points and vBC points after you've added a currency that reads from vBA :)

vBA is not designed to act as a points system (that is to say, it's not supposed to be as dynamic as vBC) which is why other mods conform to vBA, not vice-versa ;)

Can you explain how this can be done? With the release of vBA, vBC and now vBShop, I assume all three can integrate. What I'm struggling to see is how they can do so, since they seem to overlap in some ways.

I'm keen to use all three of these mods in at least the Lite versions, just don't know where to start really...

In vBCredits, you can select vBActivity as an integration option.
In vBShop, you go to options -> vBShop Points Options -> change "Points Field" to dbtech_vbactivity_points and you're all done :)

so that is what you do if you have vBA and are adding vBC?

what if it's the other way around? what if my forum is using vBC and then I decide to put vBA on?

vBCredits can integrate with vBActivity's points just fine, there's an automatic option for it in vBCredits.

So let's say my forum is using vBCredits.

Now I want my forum to use vBA as well, so I install it.

i can tell vBC to integrate with vBA and the points will still be the same?

so even though you said, "vBA is not designed to act as a points system," it can't use an actual point system like vBC ._.

Why would vBA allow you to change points storage modes? o_O

vBActivity is an activity tracking & awards mod. It offers zero way of spending any points, be it its own or vBCredits' points.

The points would then be whatever vBActivity points your members have achieved.

With the upcoming PayPal integration, won't we need two currencies? I've setup two: One looks at vbCredits - The other looks at vbActivity. I'm trying to figure out how to get the vbActivity points to flow into credits automatically.

Hmm, that I think would be a question for @Darkwaltz4:, I'm not entirely sure if vBCredits supports automatic currency translation...

vBCredits can detect vBActivity points and (in friday's 1.1 update) vBShop points - you will be able to select them upon creating new vBCredits currencies, and save them.
They do not convert automatically, but you can set up Transfer events and (in the pro version) conversion rates. After you have those events you can click any displayed currency to get the transfer popup and fill it out as you wish. vBShop lets you set any currency you want, and you can get the details needed by editing the currency in vBCredits and clicking to show advanced options - I think you just need the column value for vBShop. If you are having any trouble with this don't hesitate to send me a PM for some direct assistance.
