I installed the vBshout beta for vB5 and i can't find where the shoutbox is located on the forum. I edited page and dragged the shoutbox on the page. when i save page, no shoutbox

The vB5 version is actually in Alpha, it's much less stable and much less tested than what we would consider a Beta release :)

Over the next week I plan to go through all our vB5 mods and ensure they're compatible with the latest public Beta releases of vBulletin 5 Connect - I've been out of the loop for a while when it comes to vB5 :p

Alright , thank you! And i don't know if this would help you at all with possibly solving the problem later, but i drag the widget on the page and save it. when i go back in editor, the widget disappears from the page. When i drop again and click edit, it says no configurations found.

I had this problem around Beta 19 I think it was, when they decided to make their widget templates HTML5 compliant - it required updated templates in vBShout as well. I suspect something similar happened here, I'm quite looking forward to finding out what shiny new functionality they've enabled in later times :D

Every time I would look at a new Beta I'd go "ooh I can do this..."

I look forward to the vb5 updates..im a little skeptical of installing some of them ..im using beta 28 at the moment

I've just tested this again (clean install of vBShout for vB5) and I'm unable to replicate this issue.

Ensure that before you save the page, you edit the module config and save it, to make sure it saves the instance ID you're wanting to use.

Also, once you edit the page again after saving, does the module show up there still?
