I just installed vbshout lite on a test site to try it out prior to buying. I uploaded the files and imported the vb3 xml, however when I bring up the forum the vbshout box just says "loading" and sits there forever.

When I say "Hotfix Released" it means you should re-download the product and re-upload the files.
I'm not seeing any errors pop up, though it's possible I'm doing something wrong.
I also enabled the shoutbox for unregistered/non-logged in users so you guys could see without having to create an account, but it still doesn't appear to be showing up for guests.
If you want to check it out you can log in as a regular user w/ account "Testerson" and password "wrong355"

This is what Firebug gave me:
"NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://www.mw3forum.com//dbtech/vbshout/clientscript/vbshout.js?v=607"
Seems like you may have accidentally added a trailing slash to the "Forum URL" setting, and/or that file doesn't exist at the location that URL is pointing to
