So I just installed it "copied the files over", imported the XML.

I now have an AdminCP entry for this. however there are only two options there. "View Banned Users" and "Command Log".

I can't find anywhere to do any actual setup of the mod. I checked the vbulletin options, nothing there either.

nevermind, I didn't realize it was per usergroup permissons (which really makes this rock actually). So I didn't even bother to check there! Sorry for asking a stupid question. =)

Actually, all admin perms defaulted to "yes", but I don't see any way to configure it (and it doesn't appear on my forums). I DO still have my old shoutbox installed, I wanted to test this first. Is that a conflict problem?

Do you have a heavily modified skin, perchance?
It's possible that you are missing the template hook needed - global_below_navbar.

If so, you can try manually adding the Shoutbox to the template - instructions are located in the Admin Help entry for Automatic Shoutbox Deployment.

My site is somewhat modded, yes. It could be that, I'll check.

The other thing though, I don't have any admin options to configure the mod. Just the userconfig options. I was expecting options for say the direction I want the shouts (newest at the bottom/top), refresh interval, etc.

Those are located in the vBulletin Options area.
I'll add a link to them in the CP Nav as well for the next version. I originally opted out of doing that because it had multiple categories (General Settings and Shoutbox Settings) and I didn't want to flood the AdminCP menu :p

Ahh ok, I feel kind of stupid now. ;)

A suggestion. The reason I didn't find them there to begin with is since in the adminCP the menu entry is "DBTech - vbShout", I did a search on the main vbulletin options for "DBTech" and didn't find anything. I should of searched for vbshout I see now, but... maybe just put the works "dbtech" somewhere in there. Might make the options easier to find. I have no idea how people search for things in the vbSettings though, that's just how I do it. =)

Thanks again!
