Bug message alert sound

on my vbshout even when no new message on my vbshout when i was not in idle mode there are Shoutbox Sounds
i thought the shoutbox sound will only occur when there are either new message posted on the shoutbox or new thread created

question
is on my shoutbox there is no mute/unmute button so is it only for pro version ?
is the sound replaceable which we can use our own custom shoutbox sound ?

It can happen once per minute when the Shoutbox forcibly refreshes itself.

Indeed, it is a Pro-only feature

You will have to create an OGG Vorbis file and replace /dbtech/vbshout/sounds/pop.ogg with this file (it needs to be named pop.ogg).

Unfortunately not, as once a minute the text file for new shouts is updated, which makes the SB think that a new shout has been posted.

Thus far I've been unable to find a way around that. Sorry
