Question Does this shoutbox have all VSA chatbox features too?

Can this shoutbox do the following in the PRO version (basically everything VSA Chatbox does):


- Allow users to change the px of the font size.
- Have 'status' appear.
- Have a quick search box.


- An option to remove all text formatting (just for that specific user)
- Change the input box to appear just on one line (basically what you have on your own website)


- When the shoutbox is clicked, are all those options available?

Yes, although it is a display feature only and does not affect how others see your shouts. For this, please use the [SIZE} BBCode.

This is represented by the online/offline/invisible image you see in the SB here @ DBTech

You can undo your formatting the same way you added it in the first place, by clicking the buttons or choosing a different font in the drop-down.

Yes this is a Pro-only feature.

You can see what options appear when you click a user by clicking a user in our shoutbox. Our Shoutbox is running the latest version of vBShout Pro.

^I only wish it had that feature. Specifically, the 'find your last message'. That was extremely useful when I wanted to see if somebody else replied back to me without having to scroll back to see where my last message was at.

Other than that, this shoutbox pretty much has everything else.

Accurately tracking that is very resource intensive, not to mention extremely difficult to do. If the shoutbox has loaded a message, does that count as it being "read" even though the user had tabbed off the page? Etc.

There are a myriad of problems with this feature, so it's not something I can just whip up unfortunately

Ignore the "Find first unread message".
Nobody I know found that useful or ever used it.

"Find your last message" shouldn't really be that difficult to implement (looking at the code), nor does it seem like it would be server intensive feature IMO. Looking at the vBulletin thread for VSA chat, nobody has ever complained about it being server intensive.

In any case, perhaps I'll implement it myself after I or MangaHav buy this mod.
Since it seems very likely we'll be buying it soon
I'll be sure to send you the code, then you can judge how server intensive it is yourself.
Perhaps you'll add it into your product then.
