Trying to get familiar with membermap. I'd like to purchase it (actually it and one other add-on) but I have a problem with membermap.

I don't want it to display just the active users, but I certainly don't want it to display all registered users.

I'd like it to only display something filtered, for instance; display only users with post count of 500+

But since that could be a pain, is there a way to restrict it to only display specific usergroups? if so, i could create a new group and filter it to my specs.

Before I answer your main question, I'd just like to point out that Member Map is 100% free - the only "paid option" we have is Branding Free. I wasn't sure if you were aware of that, apologies if I misread your post and you were already aware.

As for your actual question, it's entirely possible to exclude usergroups from the Member Map :)
However, currently only Primary Usergroups are counted. Thus, if you have users set up with the primary usergroup "Registered Users" and additional group "Member Map Hidden", all "Registered Users" would still show if their usergroup permission was set to Yes.

Hopefully that's still workable for you :)

I believe there's also an option in the vBulletin Options to only show currently active users, which should also severely cut down on the number of users displayed, unless you're one of them bigshots with seriously active forums ;)

Yikes, I never got an update notification on this thread so I didn't know you replied.

No, I wasn't aware there wasn't a pro/paid version. Thanks for the heads up!

Permissions issue makes sense, I'll research that. Thank you.
