Hello,

Our IT support recently upgraded our VBAnalytics Lite version (on 19-Nov) to version 1.2.0. I used to be able to report on total posts per forum within a time frame directly in the Forum Analytics tool - which I ran weekly (for each forum) and then monthly to see Total posts for all forums. (I would select Forums from the left nav and then select a forum from the Forums drop-down and a date range and click Posts from the Metric drop-down - then click Submit.)

However, since the upgrade, I can no longer to that...is there a better way to do this? Basically, I want to keep track of total posts to a particular day - I don't want to have to rely on ensuring I look at the DBAnalytics | Forum Statistics page in the Admin Control Panel at the end of each week exactly. If I miss the end date, then I will have figure out how many posts were added since that day and subtract those from the totals.

I also tried to look at Posts for all Threads (which seems like new functionality), but I don't think that's working because it listed over 32,000 posts for November so far and that is not at all correct. I then tried via the Members option, but that only tracks from the day we upgraded which isn't what I wanted either.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Lori

Sure...when I go to VBanalytics and click Forums in the left nav, Posts is no longer an option in the Metric dropdown. I looked at the release notes for the latest version, and Forums is not listed but Replies is. However, that is not an option listed in the Metric dropdown either. I only see things like pageviews and visits and other web site stats. Posts per forum is really the only stat we use right now. Any thoughts in how to get this would be great!

Thanks!
Lori

I noticed that Posts and Threads were commented out of the list of supported metrics to order by. What I can't figure out is why, so I have uncommented them and re-uploaded /dbtech/vbanalytics/actions/pages/forum.php

If you re-download the mod and re-upload that file, it should be enabled for you.

Please let me know if you run into any problems that may indicate why the metrics were removed in the first place :)

Hi, Fillip H. -

This worked for us! Our IT staff re-uploaded the file without any issues and we see Posts a a metric now. Thank you very much for the quick fix!
