I installed lite version of vb arcade 2.0 into vbulletin 4.2 and imported some games but they wont run and wont load icons for each image.

What is the problem and how can I solve this?

Hi there,

Your site is actually listed on our piracy tracker as having an illegal version of vBShout - we checked manually and there are indeed unlicensed pro files for vBShout on your server.

Please remove any stolen DBTech files from your server. For obvious reasons, we do not provide support to people who pirate our products.

Regards,

Sorry I did not knew, my friend gave me a copy and I never checked it.

I just removed that vbshout from server and will download lite version from your site.

Will you please help me now with vb arcade?

Did you get any errors during the import process? Did the icons appear when you were browsing them for import? Do the icons appear when you go to Manage Games under the vbcredits menu in the admincp?

It sounds like you skipped chmodding some of the listed folders in the .zip instructions

Once the folders are fixed, you have to re-import the games you already imported. It will merge the assets in with the existing records for you.

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

Ok. Will be done.

This was a tough one :) Thanks for waiting, I appreciate it.

Basically, your site is locked with safe mode, and because arcade_admin.php is controlled by your user (the ftp account you used to upload the files) but php runs as apache, a mismatch occurs. vBArcade needs to create a folder per-game for the icons and swf file, which is does successfully, but the created folders do not match, so it is unable to write the assets into it for it to function properly.

The best option for you is to remove safe mode if your host allows it (it has been deprecated for years and completely removed in modern versions of php), but otherwise you need to command line onto your server and chown (forum)/(admincp)/arcade_admin.php to apache - attempts by me to do this with my current access were unsuccessful, but that should do the trick.

Let me know if you need help.

I will contact host owner. thank you very much. I will be back :)
