Threads seem to disappear
I have a few members having issues with posts disappearing:
"When I click on a long thread with many replies the screen blinks and it starts me at reply #10 or #16 and all different numbers but it cuts off the beginning of the topic and I can't read the original post."
"No it still happens everything is on default in my settings. I think it has to do with the "Thread automatically updated every 5 second(s)." message at the top of the threads. It's been doing it for a while now like at least 2 weeks I'm just dealing with it.
The screen blinks like when you blink your eyes slow. The screen fades to all black then fades back in with the first however many posts gone. If I refresh the screen the old posts show for a few seconds before it does it again."
"I just checked Bill post on EQR TXT ( http://www.rcmt.net/forums/showthrea...update-1-14-12 ) at work Windows XP Professional and it did it here too. After all the pics load the screen fades and cuts off the first post and starts on #2. Some threads it starts me way down like #16 and stuff"

Any ideas?

Not a bug, if you set the "number of posts to keep" setting lower than the posts per page setting, this will happen.

When I say "Hotfix Released" it means you should re-download the product and re-upload the files.

I had them set equaly. Should one be higher then the other?
VB setting Maximum Displayed Posts Before Page Split - 20
Ajax Thread Maximum Post Count - 20

Members may override the Maximum Displayed Posts setting which would introduce that behaviour regardless. I would suggest setting the AJAX Threads setting to the highest possible number selectable in the UserCP (40).
PS: For the future, please use your vBulletin version group as the thread prefix - AddOn is for when people post AddOns to our modifications. This helps us quickly identify your vBulletin version via the browser tab rather than having to scroll up to vBSupport
