      Default Statistics mod

Ok, there's some potential, at least I see it.

Strangely we don't have very elaborate statistics in vBulletin. Some things are improved with buying vBSEO (Gravity Insights are now bundled with vBSEO) and installing their free Live Google Analytics Stats. But nothing easily displays statistics what users do, what threads they are opened, how many posts they make and where (forum's wise)...

This things could be very useful to know in choosing users for moderators and also tracking what moderators do or don't do.

Also there's a lot of space for improvement of other aspects of statistics, especially if done as mod on one server (Gravity's server went down few times so I needed to disable their mod for some time to enable forum to load completely). I think that many of us would like to know much more about our community than we can now.

And there's one thing that I think could be very sought after, statistics of resources used by each mod. We all have more or less mods installed. As our communities grow, some mods need to go, even on dedicated servers, but especially on shared hosting. But which ones? Some I'll keep no matter what (and many of them are yours), some I like, but I could do without, some have so little impact on server that I keep them just for fun. In windows I have ctrl+alt+del, where I could find out what processes use more processor than others.

Is it possible to make something like that for mods in vBulletin? To find out how many time is spent processing plugins from certain mods, how many memory etc... I tried to use debug mode, but it's not very informative and it's hard to find out what mod causes most server load. If I would have mod that tells me that some mod uses 15% of processor overall, I'd make decision about which mod stays and which mod goes much easier.

The only better mod is mod that could speed up vBulletin and save resources, but you already have that one.

You could make two mods for statistics (one about statistics about users and how they use our forums and one about mods and how they impact server), or make it one, with some things in free, some in pro version, whatever you decide, but please, make them...

Regarding the first suggestion: watch this space.

Regarding the second suggestion (tracking mod resource usage etc) This would be pretty much impossible to do without going through every mod and getting notes of the file names, what resources it tries to use etc. It's not feasible IMO thought @Belazor will be able to say for sure.

In fact, I'll go so far as to say that the "what resources it tries to use" bit in and of itself sounds quite impossible.

When I say "Hotfix Released" it means you should re-download the product and re-upload the files.

Ok, so you think it is impossible to make mod for tracking mods impact on server. I was hopping it could be done...

Anyway, good news is you're working on statistics mod.

Sadly it's not physically possible (re server resources)

Regarding site usage stats... we'll have an announcement about that soon.
