What exactly "very quirky" means?

It works as it should work, you change between linked accounts very fast. There wasn't a single change between accounts that didn't worked out as it should. And, I use this mod for years now.

each to there own i still think the db team can do a better job on this plus the mod is not supported and db will take care of that should they chose to improve on this

Just sticking my two cents in here. The original post was not about the Quick Account Switch mod's functionality, it had to do with the basis of the mod being marked by the developer as unsupported. Some users do not like this, some don't care, but it is their choice if they want a mod supported, before they use it or not.

The mod is not compatible in vB4.2 unless you choose to use Alan_SP's manual edits, or use Valter's XML, which adds the info into the Navigation Manger. Some users may not like either option, cause it is not from the original developer, some users love it, and appreciate other members going out of their way to help others get a unsupported mod working.

Me, as a end user, installing unsupported mods on my site, was few and far between. I only installed them if it was something I thought I could easily fix if a VB update broke it.

Actually, I agree with you, having supported mod, and supported by respectful firm like DBTech is always very big plus.

On the other hand, Steris56 implied that this mod doesn't work (or works "very quirky"), so I just wanted to know, what exactly doesn't work, maybe I did missed something, maybe he has info that could be important for me.

sorry i thought you were hijacking me lol j/k

what dosent work for me is the acp where you can link the user i have re installed this ect ect and this isnt the first time this has happened each time i upgrade vb i go through this so to me its quirky other then that i like the mod

as i stated in original post though i really want a supported mod by the original coder

Ok, I don't know that about ACP, because I want only to enable linking accounts for people who actually know passwords. So I disabled ACP's linking part completely.
