Default Form fields to new thread submission

I'd love to see something that allows the admin to add forms for new threads.

For example, the admin could specify a set of questions that have to be answered before the thread is submitted.

The modification would allow for different:
      • amount of forms
      • form names
      • type of forms - radio button, drop down, checkbox, single/multi line text, etc
      • form lengths, min/max number of characters
      • placement of form data within thread text, before or after
      • style of text submitted with the thread - for example, the form subject is bold, the answer is italic or each new item is put into a table, subject in one column and filled out data in another
      • permissions for forms that must be filled before thread can be submitted
      • forms in forums - set of forms in forum A & different set in forum B
      • forms for new threads and new replies - allow a different set of forms to be used for threads/replies

I have been thinking about something like this for a long time.
Presently I am using dbtech Post Template mod
but thought it would be cool to have the ability to set it up
to Add extra fields to a Post.

      Text fields

      • Single line text
      • Multi-line text

      Checkbox Fields
      • Multi-select checkboxes

      Radio Fields

      • Single-select radio buttons

      Select Drop Down Fields
      • Single Select Dropdown
      • Yes/No
      • Multi-line text field
      • Date (month/ day/ year fields)

      Submit and post in thread

Like I said I using Post Template but this would make it even better.

Yeah, the template wouldn't work for my purposes since I want to require that certain fields are filled out. Not to mention the user has to choose the template, and it doesn't automatically load. You can't choose templates for specific forums either, right?

I currently use the Easy Forms v4.x - Create a form or multiple forms without php or html knowledge mod...Which does the trick for me at this moment.
If DBT makes a similar mod, then I will change to that one of-course . Because I have more then 100% trust in DBT...

(PS: I never had/have the attention to "promote" any/a mod(s). just to clear-iffy that already)

That mod is completely separate from what I'm thinking above, though. I don't really need a completely separate system to collect and store store data, just a more uniform set of fields for thread creation/replies.

Yes, this need to be on the list too

Yeah I am familiar with that one and I find it too buggy and believe the developer does not have the time to support the mod and two much work for the users.

I am aware of a few mods old and new that work as a prefix but support for them is not at the dbtech level.

I think we want a prefix post mod to enter extra fields (info) into a thread or post.

We're planning on releasing a mod that would let people set extra fields/required fields like we do in our support forums. Can't say it'll support all of the features you guys have requested off the bat, but there'll be a feature requests section as always ^.^

      maybe I was on a different wave-length

Just to let you know, that what I was talking about, will/can create (automatic) a new thread in a forum.
