Having a well supported mod for email integration with vbulletin would be a great development.

Something along the lines of these two mods.

Email Integration (New threads/replies by email) - vBulletin.org Forum

NNTP Gateway for Usenet ( Newsgroups ), Mailing Lists - vBulletin.org Forum

They haven't had updates for years.

I run several small listservs using email. I'd be keen to have them on a vBulletin Forum I run. Before I do that I need to have a reliable email integration system.

Fudforum has the facility, however their software doesn't have the functions vBulletin has.

So it would be great if DragonByte picked up on this ...... it looks to me with vBMail you're halfway there.

Thanks for considering this!

Best bet would be to put the features you'd like to see as feature request threads in the vBMail forum - we'd add them as updates to that mod rather than make you guys pay for a new mailing mod =)

If this is email integration including contribution via email - I've been interested in this for years. I started playing around with the email integration mod on vbulletin.org when I was running vBulletin 3.x. Then vBulletin 4.x came along and I had to leave email integration because the mod wouldn't work with 4.x. I'm presently running 4.x and now that the replacement for the vBulletin CMS has come along I'm looking at vBulletin 5 on my test site. Question is, if you were designing such a mod (which shouldn't be that difficult given that some of the mods here are half way there) would you design it for vBulletin 4 or vBulletin 5?

I note this forum is still running in vBulletin 4.2.2.

I would like to see it in vBulletin 4.2.2+ ...well that is where my need for it is currently!

I'm currently using 4.2.2+ but assuming I'll have to upgrade at some point.

Thanks for liking my post with advanced post thanks like(which I run on my site)...if I upgrade my live site to vB5 I won't need ATPL any more as there appear to be like buttons built into vB5 ;). However, being able to contribute via email is something I've wanted for years. I'd happily pay dragonbyte more for that than I pay for ATPL. As generating content is so important I cannot see why anyone wouldn't want it.
