I have a forum that used to use vbseo years ago. I am not sure when, but the forum has now switched back to standard vbulletin urls. So now we have standard urls as well as vbseo urls that both work; duplicate content! Ideally, I'd like to change our current urls back to the vbseo format and 301 standard urls to the new/previous format. What are the url options in the lite version?

Hi there,

It's not really feasible to list every single URL format available in the Lite version unfortunately :(

If I remember correctly, I used the URL formats vBSEO offered you in their selection boxes as the Lite options, and any custom URL formats beyond that are Pro-only.

Thanks for your response. This is what we used for thread urls in vbseo: %forum_title%/t-%thread_title%-%thread_id%.html Are you able to tell me if the vbseo lite version has this format? Thanks.

No, it isn't. These are the available thread URLs in the Lite version:

Yeah, the Pro version of DragonByte SEO includes a "vBSEO Import" tool which will import all of the configuration from vBSEO that DBSEO currently supports :)

Thanks Fillip H.. One last question as I want to make sure dbseo will work for us before purchasing the pro version. What is required on our end to use the vbseo import feature? I'm unable to login to the vbseo cp in vbadmin and I'm not sure if that's because vbseo is defunct or if it's a password issue on our end. I do have all of the files on our server, including the config.xml file. So will I still be able to use vbseo import with just server files?

The /vbseo/resources/xml/config.xml file needs to exist on the server and be readable, that's it :)

If I buy the 3 month version first and then later decide to buy lifetime, will I pay a discounted price for lifetime? Thanks!

Indeed you will, the cost of the existing license is deducted from the cost of the upgrade :)
