      Default vbcredits or vbactivity ?

Well I am kind of confused between the VbCredits and VbActivity and I would appreciate if you guys can tell which product would suit our board better.Currently we are using vbExperience on our board but the lack of integration of any shop system in it, is kind of forcing us to look at other alternatives.

The basic use of this mod on our forums will be to:

      - To make users earn point through posts, referrals and other such activities.
      - To use the points earned to buy gifts for themselves in the shop we would provide
      - The shopped items, icon show on the postbit

On the basis of the points above I think vbcredits and vbshop would be a better choice. But our users love the experience bars which show in the postbits too, as far as I know the activity/experience bars are not a feature of vbcredits.

Would it be better to install all 3? As far as I see, all the system use their own point system... won't this conflict with each other? Any advice would be appreciated here.

You've come to the right conclusions.

      vBCredits handles the earning
      vBShop handles the spending
      vBActivity handles the bars

We have free lite versions for all 3 if you want to see how well it ends up, as well as work out integration between them

Thanks for the reply, so how would I go about this ?

As all of them have their own points system and criterias, I would just like our users to earn points via making threads or posts and so on. In return they earn points by which they buy items.

Which credit system should we use? Is the point system in vb credits compatible with vb shop? What about the points by vbActivity should we disable those?

Plus won't most of the options, such as "earning points by making a new thread" be available in all these addons ?

I guess it would be safer to install and test on a test forum before moving to my live site

vBActivity has its own set of points which it uses for measuring bars, but the amounts were not meant to be used as a currency.
However, vBCredits was, and it includes a larger array of earning options, and it's optimally used with vbshop. Typically you use the two together, and vBActivity is somewhat separate for the bar functionality.
I would certainly recommend trying out the lite versions and getting those integrated to your liking - when you upgrade to pro, your settings and such will carry over.
