I am considering using DragonByte Gallery on our site. My question is whether or not
it is possible to create galleries from forum posts, blogs, etc. For example, we have
several screenshot forums. It would be nice if I could run a query to create galleries
for users from these images. Is anything like this possible?

Thank you!

Hmm,
Let me ask you this. Can the gallery hold any images in the Attachments directory?
That would be cool. We have screenshot forums and we would like to put the most
viewed screenshots (attachment files) into a gallery. Will it be necessary to create
another set of graphics for each gallery image so that DBGallery can use them?
Thank you!
Rick

vB attachments are not saved as actual image files, so unfortunately there's no interoperability between the two at this time.

Hmm, I was exploring and found that I can use a link for an image, so I tried
http://www.mysite.com/vbfs/attachment.php?attachmentid=76929&thumb=1&d=1335688030
and it did not work. I have looked at the source to attachment.php and I see that they are
just outputting the data. Could this not be usable way to display pictures (attachments)
in the gallery? As you probably know, the attachments have just been renamed. They are
still the actual file. The database holds the key.

Maybe I could write a plugin for the gallery?

You might be able to write a plugin, though it's not something we'd be able to assist with beyond answering general questions about the API.
