DBTech News
Lots of interesting stuff happening at DragonByte Tech these past couple of weeks that i've not been able to talk about, and some more coming over the next couple of weeks to. This week I get to announce a few exciting things though!
First of all we have 2 new team members! Please join me in welcoming @nexialys (Jean-Pierre) to the development team. He has some interesting and unique things planned that we'll be unveiling over the next couple of weeks!
Please also welcome @the-danzor (Scott) who is going to be heading up our upcoming Skinning Division. Yep, that's right, we're moving into forum skins. We expect to have our first publicly available skins in the next few weeks for you guys to buy.
Our Skinning Division is planned for launch in 1-2 weeks, if you're interested in a new look for your forum at a competitive price, keep your eyes peeled!
Meantime you can check out his work by clicking the skin chooser and heading to "DragonByte by Danzor" and enjoying the new DBTech skin created by him. You can read about the new skin here.
Other big news is our first Pro XenForo mod is now complete and entering Closer Beta. The mod is a port of our vBAvatars mod titled DragonByte Avatars. If you would like to be part of the closed beta PM @Belazor letting him know. Participants in the closed beta receive a discount when the modification is publicly released, but are expected to test the mod and provide feedback in return (and have a working XF forum to install it on of course).
Lastly the awesome vBSignatures is now GOLD. You can read all about it here.

Decado's Corner
Apologies for my absence last week folks! It's been an extremely busy few weeks for me personally! Amongst other things I have been working with Nexialys on joining the team, the best position for him to fill and hush-hush talks on some very interesting things we plan to do with him. I've also been arranging our new skinning division and working with The-Danzor on the DBTech skin you can now try out. On top of that i've been chatting with KristerSwe about directions for vBSignature addons among other things, as well as working on a potential deal with one of the largest tech-website networks in the world. On top of that i've been working on planning out our spearhead into Xenforo over the next few weeks. Busy times...
I'm also trying to get some interesting things done display wise with our products, including modifying the slider to be used for sales purposes (not unlike how steam uses it's slider), a new type of coupon (limited numbers of coupons so first come, first serve) and a bunch of other small things like that as well as better back-end sales tracking etc. On top of that in 3 days it's the end of our tax year here in the UK, so if they find me dead in the bathtub, you guys know why!
There are also a number of other really exciting things i'm working on behind the scenes that I can't tell you guys about quite yet, a couple of them are HUGE though and could represent genuine paradigm shifts.
As you can tell things are firing on all cylinders here and we're growing faster than ever before - and it's thanks to you guys, the loyal customers, especially those of you who come here every week to check the place out and show your support.
On a semi-related note, if you guys use chrome, Quick Note is the best plugin of all time. It's an absolute lifesaver!
Totally unrelated note: UFC 145 was damn good, I don't understand the criticism it got! I have no idea if any of you regular readers follow Mixed Martial Arts, but if you don't, you should!
I also recently discovered the TV Show "Archer" and it's hilarious. It's a cartoon-style show but very much adult oriented, based around a spy agency in the 60's/70's and it's an intelligent satirical spoof on the spy shows and movies of the past 30 years or so, as well as managing to be relevant and fit in pop culture references in subtle ways.
Lastly, if any of you have/know of friendly, chilled out minecraft servers - let me know!
If you have any questions or comments about anything in the blog this week i'd love to hear them and i'll do my best to answer everything I can.
Thanks as always for reading,
