Staff changes, vBArcade Beta progress.

The biggest news this week is likely the departure of @David from the DBTech team. David is starting college and it was mutually decided that as he would not have the required time to adequately support his products that he would leave the team. All of us here at DragonByte Tech wish David the best in his future endeavours.
Davids existing products will be taken over by @Dylan (vBDownloads) and @Belazor (vBNotifications, Random Questions, User Status and Moods). We do not anticipate this having any major effect on the upgrade cycle for these products. Please make allowances for the short transition period required for Dylan and Belazor to get into the swing of supporting these products.
In other news the Closed Beta for vBArcade is going great. New features are being added on an almost daily basis and we have had literally hundreds of feedback posts from our testers helping us improve it before release - a big thanks to those testers, they're doing a great job.
Whats Going On
@Belazor is entering the home stretch for the new vBEC internal Beta which we hope to be ready within the next week
@Dylan is working on a new project which we can't discuss quite yet
@Darkwaltz4 is working like a mad man on the awesome vBArcade.
vBArcade will hopefully still be released as an open beta in the first half of September, it depends when @Darkwaltz4 stops adding cool stuff to it.
vBEC v2 is still on track to be on DBT by Sep 1st
We now have 2 secret projects on the go, both of which should see the light of day late Sep/early Oct
So this part of the blog is actually a little awkward this week to be honest, but i've decided to treat it as a little place where I put my personal opinion, regardless of propriety. A lot of my week has been taken up with staffing issues - yet another XF coder has fallen through the cracks and i'm starting to feel like there are genuinely no suitable coders out there, I think this is the 4th now =(.
Obviously there has been the David issue as well, the truth is that I've been trying to get David to improve his support response time for quite a while now and when he decided to go to college we had to make a hard decision that it was better to get the other guys who were meeting their support obligations to take them over. It's a shame because when David was motivated he was a rather good coder, such is life I guess. There's no urgent need to replace David as Fillip and Dylan are more than capable of taking over those projects, but we will be looking for people to expand the coding team for sure.
There are a few things with the new VBEC you guys will love, and that I would love to tell you about, but alas it must remain secret for the time being! I'm looking forward to us getting this block done and getting back onto product updates through winter as there are a number of mods we have some great plans and suggestions for ^.^
Thanks again for reading and I look forward to all of your comments =)
