DBTech News
First of all we've got a unique special offer. We're running a 25% off of any purchase over $100 coupon - the catch is that it's only going to be available to the first 3 people to use it! The coupon code is '25limspec' gogogo!
Quite a bit of other news this week - obviously vBulletin 4.2 came out, our guys have taken a look at it and it shouldn't pose any major problems. That being said we have over 30 products at this point and some will require more work than others so we'd recommend not updating to 4.2 for a couple of weeks. If all goes to plan all of our mods will be updated by next weekend, but it could potentially spill over to the week after as well.
I can also reveal that Fillips "secret" mod he has been working on is a Questions & Answers mod. If all goes to plan it should be up on DBTech during the week and available for open beta in the next 1-2 weeks as long as the client who commissioned it is happy with it in that time.
In other news we have TWO closed beta's coming up. First of all we have the beta for DragonByte Gallery from @Dylan which will be starting likely next week. The mod is also up on DBTech now for you to check out and play with. This mod will carry a premium price point - likely $100 for a lifetime license, so please be prepared for that if you apply for the closed beta.
The other upcoming closed beta is the v2 update for vBArcade which brings the fantastic tournaments feature amongst other things. You can take a look at the unofficial discussion thread for that feature here. This closed beta is likely to start in 1-2 weeks if all goes to plan.
For both closed beta's register your interest in the comments below. There are a limited number of places, and they'll generally be given out to people who have tested before, are active on the forums, or who own several products ahead of others.
Support for vBAnalytics may be patchy this week as @Pandemikk is on vacation.
In other news @nexialys and DragonByte Technologies have parted ways after being unable to reach a satisfactory working environment for both parties. DragonByte Technologies Ltd wishes @nexialys all the best in his future endeavours.
Lastly we'd like once more to say thank you to everyone who has voted in vBulletin.org's May Mod of the Month contest. We strongly encourage you all to use your vote - even if it's not for us. For those keeping score at home vBSignatures is currently trailing one vote behind BOP5's Pinterest mini-mod.

Decado's Corner
Hopefully you guys have had a chance to try out the gallery mod at this point and love it as much as I do. There are still a number of things on the to-do list for v1 that will be added leading up to and likely during the closed beta as well.
For those who want an update on the xF situation: Just now the sales are sitting at roughly 25% of the equivalent vB4 sales in the same time period. It's not enough to justify the time expenditure, but we feel the platform is likely to grow going forwards so we will still be porting some mods over as and when they receive major updates.
The community there can be... eh... hostile. Some people seem to just dislike us in general and there seems to be a sentiment that we should conform to what has become the xF standard as far as branding and pricing etc goes. It seems like there are a lot of angry man-child types over there who just like being angry and trying to start issues - we had one guy warn us that"The last twit to try this out, I personally had a hand in demolishing him and his business through both legal and non-legal methods". That was a grown man - after he had managed to misread our prices & policies several times I should point out. Crazy.
That being said there are also some damn good folks over there, and vb.org has it's problems as well - mostly with some people have a real sense of entitlement. The negative voices over on xF just seem louder because there are less rational voices to drown them out it seems. I should point out we're all fans of the moderators, staff and the actual xF team of Kier, Mike and Ashley and this isn't meant as a knock on them in the slightest - they're good people. In fact they, along with the long term DBT customers who switched to xF, are more or less the only reason we're interested in the platform at this point - it's far from profitable at this point.
The more eagle eyed amongst you will have spotted references to our upcoming secret division have vanished. That was something we had been working on to accommodate Nexialys, since he's no longer part of the team that has been put on hold.
Let me know what you guys think of the limited-coupons (it's probably something we'll do every 6 months or so) and the other stuff discussed in the blog this week.
Oh and remember to say in the comments if you're interested in closed beta testing either the Gallery mod or vBArcade v2.
