DBTech News
Mostly a transitional week here at DBTech, the quiet before the storm if you will...
@the-danzor has provided us with a preview of the first skin he will be publicly releasing here on DBTech, and it looks *awesome*:Some further details from the man himself:
"The skin will support 3 different layouts, standard view, this grid view and another custom view. It will work on forums of all differetn sizes and types, and will support all vB features etc natively. Also included are additional features and content, to further customize the look and feel of your forum. In addition all of the art and resources used are painted from scratch by myself."
After a week of voting it's also been decided by you guys that DragonByte by Danzor should be DBTechs new default skin, if you're wondering why DragonByte Tech suddenly looks way better than it did last time you visited - that's why! His Light Blue skin is also still available for selection for those who prefer it though!
@KristerSwe has also released a new addon for our Signatures mod (vB AND xF). It's a "businesscard" type pack, designed to be clean and colourful and make it easy for people to present information. You can read about it here.
We have also released our first lite mods for xenForo - DragonByte Avatars Lite and DragonByte Signatures Lite. You can read about the releases on DBTech here.
We also released a security update for vBShop during the week after being notified of a potential limited XSS vulnerability. We recommend updating your vBShop installation if you are running any prior versions.
Lastly a big thank you to everyone who has voted for vBSignatures in this months ongoing Mod of the Month poll at vbulletin.org - we're facing some pretty stiff competition this month from some good mods, so your votes are especially appreciated! PLEASE use your vote, even if it's not for us - contests like mod of the month let coders know you appreciate them.

Decado's Corner
Man, I hope you guys are as excited as I am for the new skinning division. As you can see from the image posted in the news section @the-danzor is doing some damned impressive work. The aim is to at least have a beta available for next friday, but it might not be ready until the Friday after, so don't hold you breath. We're hoping to be able to open the new secret division next week as well, so it's going to be interesting to see how much manages to come together in time!
Most of my week has been spent planning and prepping for the changes that are coming more than anything. I'll be glad once it's all up and running and i'm not having to juggle a hundred ideas in my head at a time, I'll say that much.
Fillips secret mod is actually a piece of custom work we're doing for a rather large client, that will be released afterwards. It's not something i'm at liberty to say much about quite yet, but it's something that we think quite a few forums will find useful, and it's been requested in one form or another a few times.
Unrelated to DBTech, any of you ladies or gents play Super Monday Night Combat? Fillip and I have been enjoying shooting giant apes and robots on it and if you guys play it (it's a free to play FPS in the vein of Team Fortress on Steam) let us know, maybe we can get a game together sometime =).
As usual I'm looking forward to your comments and questions, so fire em in!
