Hello Dragons!

The updates this week consist of DragonByte SEO Release Candidate 3, DragonByte Classifieds Release Candidate 4, DragonByte vBForms v1.2.0 and Patch Level 2 for vBDonate v1.4.5.

News

Announcements

This week, we completed the switch from using our proprietary vBSupport mod to using the publicly available DragonByte vBForms mod to power our support ticket system. This switch was made in order to facilitate future changes to DBTech, as well as to better demonstrate the power of the vBForms mod.

Some of you may have noticed the new design of the form when posting a new support thread, and we're pleased to announce that this design is available in DragonByte vBForms v1.2.0!

Lastly, we're aware that some of you are missing the ability to use your pre-existing information to quickly populate the new thread form. We're working very hard behind the scenes to not only correct that, but create a whole new experience for submitting support tickets.

Stay tuned to this section in future blogs for more information!

Belazor's Corner

Another week, another DBSEO release. Thankfully, the bugs are being discovered at a rapid rate, despite the fact that they are also increasingly obscure. This means we're well on track to release DBSEO Gold soon!

Next week, I'll be focusing on assisting the rest of the team with integrating DragonByte SEO's URL Rewrites into their own mods. I can't promise exactly what mods we'll be able to finish up in time, but the aim is to get all the "heavy hitters" integrated.

Lastly, as teased in the Announcements section, we'll be introducing an additional way of posting support tickets alongside DBSEO & Classifieds Gold. It's not quite ready for prime time yet, but we can tell you that it's looking pretty sweet! We intend to push the new system as the main way of getting support, as it will be a "single point of entry" as opposed to having to hunt down the specific forum for the modification you're needing assistance with.

Does vBForms have the tracking ability yet, like vBSupport did, so members and or staff can search through the various reports?

I am happy and excited to hear that DBSEO will be soon integrated into other DBT popular mods. Hopefully classifieds and gallery are at the top of the list.

It currently does not, but we're testing that ability via the upcoming support ticket posting interface I discussed in my Corner.

Once it's received enough testing, I'm sure it'll be backported to Forms, especially considering it's Forms that's the back-end of it
